Hello! I’m Aurelie.

My journey with Tantra began five years after a chance yoga class with Yogi Kaivalyananda while we were both working in Amman, Jordan. During the pandemic, and back in the UK, I stumbled upon his online Kaivalya Kriya Yoga classes at a time when life felt stressful and uncertain.

After each class, the knots in my stomach unravelled and I experienced a profound sense of bliss that even my regular breathwork couldn’t match. I had finally connected with my true self.

Compelled to share this magical experience, I became a certified KKY teacher to help others unlock this feeling of embodied freedom.

Since deepening my spiritual practice, I felt profound shifts in my relationships. The next obvious step for me was to train in tantric rituals to help people deepen intimacy and connection with each other. I had the privilege to train with Lynn Paterson of One Heart Tantra learning how to integrate spirituality and sexuality through conscious touch.

I feel a strong pull to create a conscious community with those exploring similar themes, to learn, share and practice together.

I invite you to join this growing, heartfelt community and please, invite me to join yours! Follow up on Facebook and Instagram and join our newsletter here for inspiration, sensual exploration, and updates.

FAQs

  • KKY is typically an hour-long session. It is opened with chanting a mantra which you can join in with or simply enjoy the vibrations of.  Over the hour we will practice 10-12 ‘kriyas’, which are structured to prepare the body to end the session in deep meditation. We will close with a mantra.

Each ‘kriya’ is a combination of dynamic movements, deep breathing, breath holds, hand positions known as mudras, deliberate body locks known as bandas and a focused gaze known as a drishti.

Coordination rather than flexibility is the bigger challenge - but don’t worry, coordination improves with practice!  It is therefore not typically necessary to modify the practice with blocks, straps or bolsters. It is more important to talk about any mobility restrictions such as sitting crossed-legged on the floor, or painful joints or neck/shoulder issues beforehand so we can plan a session that meets your needs.

We don’t practice with music as we aim to facilitate concentration and awareness of physical sensations in the body as we flow through the Kriyas. Awareness of the body anchors the mind in the present moment, reducing distractions and creating a sense of grounding. By tuning into the body, we begin to experience the unity of our physical and spiritual selves, a core goal of KKY. Attunement to, often subtle, sensations in turn refines our sensory perceptions.

By cultivating awareness of the physical body, KKY creates a strong foundation for energy control, mindfulness, and spiritual growth, enabling a harmonious journey toward inner peace and self-realisation.

  • During KKY we will practice standing dynamic movements as well as seated meditation.

    -  Wear comfortable loose-fitting clothing for this practice that allows freedom of movement.

    -  Practice barefoot or with socks.

    -  Layers are useful as our body temperature can change through the practice.

    -  Avoid bulky or jangly jewellery to stay focused during meditation.

  • You do not need any yoga experience to practice KKY. You will be clearly guided through the whole session. Beginners are most welcome. You just need to bring an open mind!
